When Travis turned 3 months, he began sleeping through the night. For some odd reason that all changed upon him turning 4 months. He started waking up again once at night to feed. Before that, he would fall asleep around 1930-0800 and wake up at 0500-0600 to eat, then sleep again, and wake up at 0830. We started giving him a 7 ounce bottle of breast milk prior to him going to bed, but he’s still waking up. He doesn’t eat more throughout the day and appears to be satisfied. I’ve also increased his bottles throughout the day (6.5oz to 7oz).
I’ve heard that at 4 months, some babies go through a sleep regression. Does anyone have any experience on that?
Joseph and I thought, “Well maybe the milk isn’t hitting the spot anymore.” So we tried to give him rice cereal, which really didn’t settle well with me at first since I wasn’t planning on starting him till he was at least six months, but hey it doesn’t hurt to try! So we tried giving him rice cereal, which he pushed out with his tongue. So of course, I stopped the rice cereal since he obviously isn’t ready for it yet (we might try again when he turns 5 months since that was the recommendation of his pediatrician).
Just twenty minutes ago, Travis woke up. I just got done feeding him and changing his diaper. Hopefully my little prince will sleep till at least 0600-0700! :)
Any tips on helping him sleep through the night again will be greatly appreciated
